Continental glaciers, or ice sheets, are massive glaciers that cover vast areas of land. Antarctica and Greenland are the only two regions on Earth that currently host true continental ice sheets.

Canada has the longest coastline in the world, stretching over 202,000 kilometers due to its vast size and numerous islands.

The potato (Solanum tuberosum) originated in the Andes region of South America, specifically in Peru.

Its fossils (some teeth, skull cap and femur bone) were found in 1891 by a Dutch anatomist, Eugene Dubois on the bank of Solo river in Eastern Java.

Deccan refers to the entire southern peninsula of India south of the Narmada River, marked centrally by a high triangular tableland. The name derives from the Sanskrit Dakshina (“south”). The plateau is bounded on the east and west by the Ghats, escarpments that meet at the plateau's southern tip.

The Loess Plateau in China contains the most extensive and thickest deposits of loess in the world, formed by wind-blown silt.
