Tokyo is the capital and largest city of Japan, serving as the political and economic center. Osaka, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki are major Japanese cities but none serve as the national capital.

Yaounde has been the capital of Cameroon since 1920 and serves as the country's administrative center. Belem is in Brazil, Accra is the capital of Ghana, and Mbabane is the capital of Eswatini.

Rome has been the capital of Italy since 1870 and houses the Vatican City as an independent enclave within the city. Milan is an economic hub, Florence is a cultural center, and Vatican City is a separate sovereign state.

Asuncion is the capital and largest city of Paraguay, founded in 1537. Colombia is a country (capital Bogota), Sao Paulo is in Brazil, and Kingston is the capital of Jamaica.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand, located at the southern tip of the North Island. Auckland is the largest city, Tasmania is an Australian state, and Port Elizabeth is in South Africa.
