OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) has been headquartered in Vienna, Austria, since 1965, despite Austria not being an oil-exporting member. It was originally founded in Baghdad in 1960.

Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia, St. John's is the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Fredericton is the capital of New Brunswick.

The Commonwealth Health Ministers Conference was held in Geneva in May 2010. Geneva, Switzerland is a major hub for international health organizations, hosting the WHO headquarters, making it a logical venue for health minister conferences.

Lima is the capital and largest city of Peru. It was founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535. The city is located in the coastal desert of Peru.

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and was the capital of Yugoslavia when that country existed (1918-2003, as Kingdom of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia, and FR Yugoslavia). Yugoslavia no longer exists as a unified country, having split into several independent nations in the 1990s.

Abuja became the capital of Nigeria in 1991, replacing Lagos. Abuja was built in the 1980s and was planned to be a more centrally located neutral capital for the country. Lagos was the capital previously and remains the commercial hub.

Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand. It is located at the southern tip of the North Island and has been the capital since 1865. Auckland is the largest city but not the capital. Canberra is the capital of Australia.

Rabat is the capital city of Morocco. It has been the capital since 1955 and is located on the Atlantic coast. Casablanca is the largest city and economic hub, but Rabat is the political capital. Fes and Agadir are major cities but not the capital.

Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina. It has served as the political and cultural center of the country since independence. Santiago is the capital of Chile, while Mendoza and Rosario are important Argentine cities but not the capital.
