World Geography and Capitals

Ljubljana has been Slovenia's capital since independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. It's located in the central part of the country and has history dating to Roman times. Odessa is in Ukraine, Tashkent is Uzbekistan's capital, and Skopje is North Macedonia's capital.

Berlin is Germany's capital and largest city, serving as the political center since reunification in 1990. While Frankfurt hosts the European Central Bank and Munich is a major tech hub, only Berlin holds the seat of government. Hamburg is a major port city.

Canberra has been Australia's capital since 1913, deliberately chosen as a compromise between Sydney and Melbourne. The city was specifically planned and built to be the capital. Melbourne and Sydney are Australia's largest cities but not the capital.

Belgrade is one of Europe's oldest capitals, located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. It has been Serbia's capital since the country's modern establishment. Budapest is Hungary's capital, Bucharest is Romania's, and Bern is Switzerland's capital.

Accra has been Ghana's capital since 1877 and became the administrative center after independence from Britain in 1957. The city is located on the Atlantic coast. Abidjan is in Côte d'Ivoire, Baku is Azerbaijan's capital, and Nassau is the Bahamas' capital.

Amsterdam is the constitutional capital of the Netherlands, though The Hague hosts the government and parliament. Amsterdam is famous for its canals and historic center. Rotterdam is Europe's largest port, Brussels is Belgium's capital, and Vienna is Austria's capital.

Copenhagen has been Denmark's capital since the 15th century, located on the islands of Zealand and Amager. It's Denmark's cultural and political center. Helsinki is Finland's capital, Oslo is Norway's, and Stockholm is Sweden's capital.

Rome has been Italy's capital since 1871, chosen after Italian unification. It houses the Italian government and is famous for ancient history. Milan is Italy's financial hub, Vatican City is an independent city-state within Rome, and Florence is known for Renaissance art.

Asuncion is the correct capital of Paraguay. Colombia is a separate country in South America, Sao Paulo is a major city in Brazil, and Kingston is the capital of Jamaica.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. Auckland is the largest city but not the capital, Tasmania is a state in Australia, and Port Elizabeth is a city in South Africa.

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan, Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and Sanaa is the capital of Yemen.

Brasilia is the capital of Brazil, built in 1960 as a planned city. Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are major cities but not the capital. Santa Brasilo appears to be a fictional option.

Algiers is the capital of Algeria. 'Algeria City' is not a real capital name, Luanda is the capital of Angola, and Lusaka is the capital of Zambia.
