World Geography and Capitals

Tokyo has been Japan's capital since 1868 when it replaced Kyoto after the Meiji Restoration. It's Japan's political and economic center. Osaka is a major commercial hub, while Hiroshima and Nagasaki are known primarily for their World War II history.

Yaoundé has been Cameroon's capital since 1922 under French colonial rule and continued after independence in 1960. It's located in the central region. Belem is a city in Brazil, Accra is Ghana's capital, and Mbabane is Eswatini's capital.

Rome has been Italy's capital since 1871, chosen after Italian unification. It houses the Italian government and is famous for ancient history. Milan is Italy's financial hub, Vatican City is an independent city-state within Rome, and Florence is known for Renaissance art.

Asuncion is the correct capital of Paraguay. Colombia is a separate country in South America, Sao Paulo is a major city in Brazil, and Kingston is the capital of Jamaica.

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. Auckland is the largest city but not the capital, Tasmania is a state in Australia, and Port Elizabeth is a city in South Africa.

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan, Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and Sanaa is the capital of Yemen.

Brasilia is the capital of Brazil, built in 1960 as a planned city. Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are major cities but not the capital. Santa Brasilo appears to be a fictional option.

Algiers is the capital of Algeria. 'Algeria City' is not a real capital name, Luanda is the capital of Angola, and Lusaka is the capital of Zambia.

Canberra is the capital of Australia, specifically built as the capital city. Melbourne and Sydney are major cities but not the capital. Perth is a major city on the west coast.

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia. Budapest is the capital of Hungary, Bucharest is the capital of Romania, and Bern is the capital of Switzerland.

Accra has been the capital of Ghana since 1877 and remains the country's largest city and administrative center. Abidjan is the economic capital of Cote d'Ivoire, Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan, and Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas.

Amsterdam is the constitutional capital of the Netherlands, where the government is based. Rotterdam is a major port city, Brussels is the capital of Belgium, and Vienna is the capital of Austria.

Copenhagen is the capital and largest city of Denmark, located on the island of Zealand. Helsinki is the capital of Finland, Oslo is the capital of Norway, and Stockholm is the capital of Sweden.
