World Mythology

Cerberus was the three-headed dog guarding the entrance to the Underworld, which was ruled by Hades. Hercules' final labor (12th) was to capture Cerberus. Zeus ruled the heavens, Hephaestus was the god of fire/forge, and Poseidon ruled the seas.

Ra (also spelled Re) was the ancient Egyptian Sun God and creator deity. He was one of the most important gods in Egyptian mythology, often depicted as a falcon-headed man.

Set (also spelled Seth) was the Egyptian God of Chaos, storms, and the desert. He was the brother of Osiris and Isis, and often portrayed as Osiris's antagonist.

Osiris was the Egyptian god whose death and resurrection myth symbolized the annual flooding and recession of the Nile River. His death represented the dry season while his resurrection represented the fertile period when the Nile flooded, bringing life to the land. Ra is the sun god, Hathor is the goddess of love and music, and Set is the god of chaos who killed Osiris.

Anubis is the jackal-headed Egyptian god associated with mummification and the afterlife. He was the protector of graves and the guide of souls in the underworld. Thoth has an ibis head, Osiris appears human or mummified, and Wadjet is a cobra goddess.

Thoth was considered the heart and tongue of Ra because he was the god of wisdom, writing, and speech who implemented Ra's will through words and knowledge. Thoth was Ra's scribe and counselor. Osiris is the god of the afterlife, Horus is the sky god and Ra's son, and Hathor is the goddess of love.

Hel rules over the realm of the dead in Norse mythology, governing those who died of illness or old age. Because she presides over the underworld and the dead, encountering her was essentially a confrontation with mortality itself.

Fenrir was the monstrous wolf bound by the gods using the magical ribbon Gleipnir. Tyr sacrificed his hand by placing it in Fenrir's mouth as a hostage during the binding, and Fenrir bit it off when he realized he was trapped.

The phrase 'Revenge Inc.' appears to be an astrological wordplay or clue pointing to Scorpio, which in astrology is traditionally associated with intensity, transformation, and the potential for vengeance or retribution. Scorpios are often characterized as passionate, determined, and unforgiving when wronged.

The riddle describes indecision and dual nature - heads/tails, both/neither - which is the signature trait of Gemini (the Twins). The repetition of 'umm' suggests wavering between options, embodying the Gemini duality.

Hector, Troy's greatest warrior, was killed by Achilles in single combat. Achilles himself later died when Paris shot him in his vulnerable heel with Apollo's guidance. Both Menelaus and Odysseus survived the Trojan War and returned home.

Achilles was born to the mortal King Peleus of Phthia and the sea nymph Thetis. Thetis dipped the infant Achilles in the River Styx to make him immortal, holding him by his heel, which became his only vulnerable spot.

Old Tjikko, a Norway Spruce in Sweden, is approximately 9,550 years old and is recognized as the world's oldest living individual tree (based on its root system). Pando is a clonal colony (not individual), Prometheus was cut down in 1964, and Methuselah is a bristlecone pine around 4,850 years old. Old Tjikko's age is determined through carbon dating of its root system.

Morpheus's ship in The Matrix trilogy is called the Nebuchadnezzar, named after the Babylonian king. The Osiris, Kulasekra, and Ramsis are not the names of his hovercraft.
