Psyche is Eros' wife in Greek mythology, famously depicted in the story 'Cupid and Psyche' (Eros is Cupid in Roman mythology). Eris is the goddess of discord. Aphrodite is Eros' mother. Selene is the moon goddess. Psyche represents the soul, and her story is a classic myth about love and trials.

Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity. As punishment, Zeus ordered him to be chained to a rock where an eagle (or vulture) would eat his liver each day, which would regenerate overnight.
