The French sought to strengthen their rule in Vietnam through control of  education. They tried to change the values, norms and perception of the people, to make them believe in superiority of French civilisation and the inferiority of the Vietnamese.

Only the Vietnamese elite- comprising a small fraction of the population could enrol in the schools, and only a few among those admitted ultimately passed the school-leaving examination.

Britain issues the Balfour Declaration in 1917 which calls for "Support of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people....it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine."

The first clear expression of nationalism came with the French Revolution in 1789. French was a full Fledged territorial state in 1789 under the rule of an absolute monarch. The political and constitutional changes that came in the wake of the French Revolution led to the transfer of sovereignty from the monarchy to a body of French citizens.

Prince Metternich  was a German diplomat and statesman and one of the most important diplomats of his era, serving as the Austrian Empire's Foreign Minister from 1809 and Chancellor from 1821 until the liberal revolution of 1848 forced his resignation.

Frederick William IV was the king of Prussia from 1840 until 1861. He was the eldest son of Frederich William III. His conservative policies helped spark the Revolution of 1848. In 1857 he was incapacitated by a stroke, and his brother, the future William I, became regent.

The Battle of Waterloo, which took place in Belgium on June 18, 1815, marked the final defeat of French military leader and emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), who conquered much of continental Europe in the early 19th century.

The Congress of Vienna was a conference of ambassadors of European states chaired by Austrian statesman Klemens Wenzel von Metternich and held in Vienna from November 1814 to June 1815. The objective of the Congress was to provide a long-term peace plan for Europe by settling critical issues arising from the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars.

Louis XVI of the Bourbon dynasty was married to the Austrian princess Marie Antoinette on 16 May 1770.

In 1792 election the new assembly was elected, which was called the Convention. In this election first time all men above the age of 21 got the right to vote in the regard of wealth. On 21 September 1792 monarchy was abolished and France was declared a republic. Later king Louis XVI and the queen Marie Antoinette were sentenced to death. They were executed publicly at the Place de la Concorde.

The Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) was dominated by the four great powers that defeated Napoleon: Britain, Russia, Austria, and Prussia.

The Battle of Austerlitz was a major victory for Napoleon, not a defeat. The other options listed represent significant factors that contributed to his eventual downfall.

During the time of the Nazi region in Germany the society was divided into desirables and undesirables.The undesirables in Germany were mainly the Jews but other undesirables were Communist, Gypsies and Polish Christians. And desirables were Nordic Aryans.  

American Revolution and the Vietnam War both were essentially wars against domination by an overseas power.
