Byetta (exenatide) is an incretin mimetic medication used for Type 2 diabetes treatment. It's a GLP-1 receptor agonist that stimulates insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon release. It was co-marketed with Amylin Pharmaceuticals.

Darvocet (propoxyphene/acetaminophen) was a combination analgesic for mild to moderate pain. Note: This drug was withdrawn from the US market in 2010 due to cardiac toxicity risks, but it was historically used for pain management. Effient is an antiplatelet, Xigris was for sepsis, and Gemzar is chemotherapy.

ReoPro (abciximab) is a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor used as an adjunct during high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty) to prevent platelet aggregation and thrombosis. Cialis is for erectile dysfunction, Effient is an oral antiplatelet for maintenance therapy, and Gemzar is chemotherapy.

Xigris (drotrecogin alfa) was a recombinant human activated protein C indicated for severe sepsis. Note: It was withdrawn worldwide in 2011 after the PROWESS-SHOCK trial showed no mortality benefit. Glucagon is for hypoglycemia, Forteo is for osteoporosis, and Strattera is for ADHD.

Alimta (pemetrexed) is a chemotherapy agent specifically approved for malignant pleural mesothelioma and non-small cell lung cancer. It inhibits folate-dependent enzymes involved in DNA synthesis. Symbyax and Zyprexa are psychiatric drugs (olanzapine combinations), and Evista is used for osteoporosis prevention.

Humulin is human insulin used to manage both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes by replacing deficient insulin or overcoming insulin resistance. Darvocet is for pain, Cialis is for erectile dysfunction, and Xigris was for sepsis.

Tobacco is the most commonly used substance for smoking worldwide. While cannabis, opium, heroin, and cocaine can also be smoked, tobacco in cigarettes is by far the predominant substance used globally. Nicotine in tobacco is what makes it addictive, leading to widespread use compared to other substances.

Chloroform (trichloromethane) has the chemical formula CHCl3, containing one carbon atom, one hydrogen atom, and three chlorine atoms. It was widely used as an anesthetic in the 19th century before its toxicity was fully understood. CH2O is formaldehyde, CH2Cl2 is dichloromethane, and COCl is not a stable molecular formula (phosgene is COCl2).

Lipitor contains atorvastatin calcium as the active ingredient. Atorvastatin is a statin medication used to lower cholesterol, and it is formulated as the calcium salt in Lipitor tablets. Other salt forms like potassium or sodium are not used in the commercial Lipitor formulation.

Sadaphuli (also known as periwinkle or Vinca rosea) contains the alkaloid Vincristine, which is used as a chemotherapy drug to treat various cancers. Vinkaterine and vinkajol appear to be fictitious or misspelled distractors. Tropane alkaloids are found in plants like belladonna and datura, not in periwinkle.
