Indian Regional Languages

Harauti is a dialect of the Rajasthani language spoken primarily in the Hadoti region, which includes the districts of Bundi, Kota, Baran, and Jhalawar.

Bagri, Malvi, and Wagri are all recognized dialects or languages spoken in various regions of Rajasthan. Therefore, all of these are correct.

The Ajmeri dialect is a sub-dialect of Marwari and is spoken in the Ajmer and Kishangarh regions of Rajasthan.

After Hindi, Bengali is the most widely spoken language in the Indian subcontinent, based on census data and linguistic surveys.

A new scheme of partition of Bengal was implemented on linguistic rather than on religious grounds. Hindi, Oriya and Assamese speaking areas were separate administrative units. The administrative capital of British India was shifted from kolkata to Delhi in 1911. 

lndo-Aryan group of languages spoken by the largest number of people in India. There are about 219 known Indo-Aryan languages. The largest in terms of speakers are Hindustani (Hindi-Urdu, about 329 million), Bengali (242 million), Punjabi (about 100 million) and other languages, with a 2005 estimate placing the total number of native speakers at nearly 900 million.

As per the constitution of India, there is as such no national language. For the official purposes of the union government, parliament, Hindi and English languages are used. There are 22 official languages in India. States of India are free to adopt local languages for official purposes of the state.   

Part XVII of the constitution deals with the official language in Articles 343 to 351. In this part, it is written that Hindi written in Devanagari script is to be the official language of India, but the form of numbers to be used for official purposes has to be in the international form of Indian numerals and not the Devanagari form of numerals.

People of Meghalaya, which is one of the north-eastern states of India, do not speak Hindi widely. The languages like Garo, Pnar, Khasi, and English are spoken widely in this state. English is the official language of Meghalaya.

National language of India is Hindi.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli is the union territory located in western India. It is composed of two separate geographical entities - Dadra which is surrounded by Gujarat and Nagar Haveli wedged between Maharashtra and Gujarat. Hence the languages spoken here includes Gujarati and Marathi.

Sanskrit was the primary language of instruction and scholarly discourse at Nalanda University, reflecting the classical tradition of ancient Indian education.

National Anthem of India "Jana Gana Mana" was originally composed by Rabindra Nath Tagore in Bengali. The Constituent Assembly adopted the national anthem and national songon January 24, 1950.
