The Justice Jagmohan Reddy Commission was constituted in 1969 to investigate the Ahmedabad communal riots between Hindus and Muslims. The Liberhan Commission dealt with the Babri Masjid demolition (1992), Nanavati Commission investigated the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and 2002 Gujarat riots, and Venugopal Commission examined the 1982 Kanyakumari riots.
