The Justice Nanavati Commission was constituted in 2000 to investigate the 1984 anti-Sikh riots that occurred after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The commission submitted its report in 2005. Justice Venugopal Commission is not associated with this event. The Justice Liberhan Commission investigated the Babri Masjid demolition, and the Justice J.S. Verma Committee was formed after the 2012 Delhi gangrape case.
