The Justice Srikrishna Commission was constituted to investigate the Mumbai communal riots of 1992-93. This commission, headed by Justice B.N. Srikrishna, submitted its report in 1998 after examining the circumstances surrounding the violence. The Justice Nanavati Commission investigated the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, while the Justice Liberhan Commission looked into the Babri Masjid demolition. The Justice J.S. Verma Committee was formed after the 2012 Delhi gangrape case.
