Captain Ram Singh Thakuri composed the music for India's national anthem Jana Gana Mana. Rabindranath Tagore wrote the lyrics, but the musical arrangement was by Captain Thakuri of the Indian National Army.

Rabindranath Tagore composed Jana Gana Mana in Bengali in 1911, originally titled 'Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata'. It was adopted as India's national anthem in 1950.

Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in the town of Vinci, which was located within the territory of the Republic of Florence. This is why he is often referred to as 'Leonardo da Vinci' (Leonardo from Vinci) rather than by a family surname, as was common in Renaissance Italy.

The Mona Lisa is named for Lisa del Giocondo (born Lisa Gherardini), the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, a wealthy Florentine merchant who commissioned the portrait. The Italian title 'La Gioconda' literally means 'the joyful one' or 'the Giocondo woman'.

The Last Supper, painted between 1495-1498 on the wall of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, is Leonardo's most famous work from the 1490s. The Mona Lisa was begun later (around 1503-1506), making The Last Supper his premier 1490s masterpiece.

The Vitruvian Man, Leonardo's famous drawing of human proportions, is preserved in the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, Italy. This museum houses an important collection of Venetian art and is the current home of this iconic Renaissance work.

Michelangelo (1475-1564) was Leonardo's contemporary and the only other Renaissance artist whose influence and contribution to future generations rivals Leonardo's. Both were titans of the High Renaissance, though they had different approaches and were famously competitive.

Leonardo da Vinci's artistic achievements were so exceptional that only Michelangelo among his Renaissance contemporaries could rival his influence and mastery, making the identification with 'his contributions being rivalled by only one contemporary' point to da Vinci as the subject being compared.

The Red Fort is strategically located along the Yamuna River in Delhi. This geographical positioning provided both defensive advantages and water access for the Mughal rulers. The other rivers listed are important Indian waterways but not associated with the Red Fort.

The Red Fort served as the main residence of Mughal emperors until 1857 when the British captured Delhi after the Sepoy Mutiny (First War of Independence). This marked the end of Mughal political power in India. The other dates (1865-1867) are after this key historical event.
