Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism, renounced worldly life at age 30 to pursue spiritual enlightenment. This is a well-documented fact in Jain tradition and marks the beginning of his ascetic journey.

The Howrah Bridge in Kolkata was renamed Rabindra Setu in 1965 to honor Rabindranath Tagore, the Bengali poet and Nobel laureate. 'Setu' means bridge in Sanskrit/Bengali.
