Khwaza Moin-ud-din Chisti died in 1236 AD. He was also known as Garib Nawaz. He was an Imam, Islamic philosopher from South Asia. Chisti introduced the Chisti order of Sufism. Various Mughal emperors were the followers of Chisti.

The word 'Sufi' is derived from the Arabic word 'Suf' which means 'wool' and refers to coarse woolen cloth that was worn by Prophet Mohammad and by his close companions.

Guru Nanak Dev was born on 15 April 1469 to Mata Tripta and Mehta Kalu in Talwandi, a village in the Sheikhupura district, to the west of Lahore. He was the founder of Sikhism and the first Guru of the Sikhs. At the age of seven, he was sent to a school ran by Pandit Gopal. He asked his teacher the meaning of each alphabet and also asked questions about God. Later, he astonished his teacher with his fluency in explaining deeper truths about man and God and even gave spiritual interpretation to each Punjabi alphabet.

Travels or Divine Journeys of Guru Nanak Ji called Udasis. During these Udasis(religious tours), he visited holy places of different faith, met people of various faiths, professed his newfound path. In his first Udasi, he was accompanied by Bhai Mardana. They started from Sultanpur in 1500 and went to many places which were Sayyidpur, Talimba, Haridwar, Gorakhpur, etc.
