Russia ranks 9th globally in population with approximately 144 million people. It is positioned between Bangladesh (approximately 8th with 173 million) and Mexico (approximately 10th with 129 million).

India recently surpassed China to become the most populous country in the world with over 1.4 billion people. However, India does not rank first in population density - countries like Monaco, Singapore, and Bahrain have much higher population densities.

Sweden's ccTLD is .se. Country codes are often derived from the native name 'Sverige', not the English 'Sweden'. Sudan uses .sd, Senegal uses .sn, and .sw doesn't exist.

South Africa's ccTLD is .za, derived from the Dutch 'Zuid-Afrika' (historical name). Saudi Arabia uses .sa, Sao Tome and Principe uses .st, and .ka doesn't exist.

The Himalayan range spans multiple countries, but the highest concentration is in Nepal. China has some peaks, but Nepal has the majority.

Lesotho is a country in southern Africa that is completely surrounded by South Africa on all sides, making it an enclaved country. It is one of only three enclave countries in the world (along with Vatican City and San Marino, though those are by Italy). Malaysia was indeed known as Malaya before it gained independence and became Malaysia in 1963. The Federation of Malaya was established in 1948 and gained independence from British rule in 1957. In 1963, Malaya united with Singapore, Sabah, and Sarawak to form Malaysia. Singapore later left in 1965.

Iran was indeed known as Persia internationally until 1935, when Reza Shah requested that foreign governments use the name 'Iran', the country's name in Persian. 'Persia' comes from 'Pars', the southwestern province where the Achaemenid dynasty originated. The change was part of a broader modernization and nationalism movement. Both names refer to the same country.

Zimbabwe was previously known as Rhodesia, named after Cecil Rhodes during British colonial rule. The country gained independence and changed its name to Zimbabwe in 1980. The other options are misspellings of Rhodesia.

The Republic of Congo was known as Zaire from 1971-1997 under Mobutu's regime. Despite the name 'Zaire' now referring to the Democratic Republic of Congo, historically it was this country's official name. The other options are fictional.
