World Geography and Capitals

Austin is the capital of Texas. Sacramento is the capital of California, Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah, and Washington is a city (not a state capital).

Washington, D.C. is the capital of the District of Columbia. Olympia is the capital of Washington state, Jackson is the capital of Mississippi, and the District of Columbia is a federal district.

Annapolis is the capital of Maryland. Maryland is indeed a U.S. state. Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana and Tallahassee is the capital of Florida.

Carson City is the capital of Nevada. Springfield is a city name in multiple states (Illinois, Missouri), Augusta is the capital of Maine, and Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania.

Charlotte Amalie is the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands, located on the island of St. Thomas. Boston is the capital of Massachusetts, Dover is the capital of Delaware, and Madison is the capital of Wisconsin.
