World Geography and Capitals

Chisinau (also spelled Kishinev) is the capital and largest city of Moldova. Valletta is the capital of Malta, while Falesti and Soroki are other Moldovan cities. Chisinau is located in the center of the country.

Skopje is the capital of North Macedonia (formerly known as Macedonia). Tetovo, Kicevo, and Krusevo are other Macedonian cities. Skopje is the largest city and has been a significant cultural and economic center in the Balkans.

Valletta is the capital city of Malta, located on the island's east coast. It was established in the 16th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historic fortifications and Baroque architecture. Mosta, Sigglewi (likely a typo for Siggiewi), and Zurrieq are other Maltese towns but not the capital.

Luxembourg City is the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It sits at the confluence of the Alzette and Pétrusse rivers and is known for its fortified old town. Redange, Bettembourg, and Wiltz are other communes in Luxembourg but not the capital.

Naypyidaw is the capital of Myanmar, established in 2005. It replaced Yangon (formerly Rangoon) as the administrative capital. The name means 'abode of kings' in Burmese.

Ulan Bator (also spelled Ulaanbaatar) is the capital and largest city of Mongolia. It's the political, cultural, and economic center of the country, located in east-central Mongolia.

Vientiane is the capital and largest city of Laos, located on the banks of the Mekong River near the border with Thailand. It has been the administrative capital since the Lane Xang Kingdom and remained so through French colonial rule to modern independence.
