Riga is the capital and largest city of Latvia, situated on the Gulf of Riga at the mouth of the Daugava River. It is known for its Art Nouveau architecture and medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Vaduz is actually the capital of Liechtenstein, not Latvia. Alois appears to be a reference (possibly to the ruling family of Liechtenstein), and Jelgava is another Latvian city.
