Reykjavik is the capital and largest city of Iceland, located on the country's southwest coast. It is the northernmost national capital in the world and was founded in 874 AD. Akureyri, Kopavogur, and Vatneyri (possibly referring to a village) are other Icelandic locations but not the capital.
