World Geography and Capitals

France and India are countries, but Rome is a city.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, along with many other UN specialized agencies. Paris is home to UNESCO, Madrid to the World Tourism Organization, and New York hosts the UN headquarters.

The United Nations University established its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan in 1975. UNU is the UN's academic and research arm, focusing on pressing global problems through collaborative research and education.

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) has its headquarters in Paris, France. While many UN agencies are in New York, UNESCO was established in Paris in 1946 and has remained there. The Hague hosts international courts like the ICJ.

The World Health Summit 2012 was held in Berlin, Germany. This annual international conference brings together leaders from health, politics, science, and the private sector to discuss global health challenges. Berlin has been the regular host city for this summit since its inception.

Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania, the island state of Australia. Founded in 1804, it is the second oldest capital city after Sydney. Newcastle and Launceston are cities in New South Wales and Tasmania respectively, while Perth is the capital of Western Australia.

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, Beirut is the capital of Lebanon, and Canton is an older name for Guangzhou, a major city in China.

Citigroup's global headquarters is located in New York City, USA. Citibank, its principal subsidiary, was founded in New York in 1812 and the bank maintains its corporate center in this financial hub. Paris is a financial center but not Citigroup's headquarters, Iceland has a small banking sector, and Davos hosts the World Economic Forum but is not a banking headquarters.

The 19th World Petroleum Congress was held in Madrid, Spain in July 2008. This is a factual question about a major international event in the petroleum industry. The World Petroleum Congress is a premier global conference that brings together energy professionals and policymakers.
