Greece traditionally leads the Olympic Games opening parade as homage to the ancient Olympics' origins in Olympia. The last host country marches last, not first. France and Rome have hosted Olympics but don't have the traditional lead position.

The first Asian Games were held in New Delhi, India in 1951. This was the inaugural edition of the multi-sport event for countries in Asia. China (hosted 1990), New York (not in Asia), and 'ethens' (likely a typo for Athens, which is in Europe) are all incorrect as host cities for the first Asian Games.

Currently, Olympic Games are held every 2 years, alternating between Summer and Winter Olympics. Both Summer and Winter Games used to be held in the same year every 4 years, but since 1994 they have been staggered to occur every 2 years, alternating between Summer and Winter.

The Ancient Olympic Games began in 776 BC and continued until 393 AD when they were banned by Emperor Theodosius I. Option C correctly places this timeframe in the 8th century BC to 5th century AD range.

The official Olympic motto is 'Citius, Altius, Fortius,' Latin for 'Faster, Higher, Stronger,' adopted in 1894. Option C provides the correct Latin phrase.

The 2014 Winter Olympics were held in Sochi, Russia. Sochi is a Russian city located on the Black Sea coast and was selected as the host city for these Winter Games. Switzerland has previously hosted Winter Olympics (St. Moritz in 1928 and 1948), Austria has hosted (Innsbruck twice), and Canada hosted Vancouver 2010, but 2014 specifically belonged to Russia.

The Spartakiads were international sports events organized by the Soviet Union as an alternative to the Olympics, starting in 1928. They were named after Spartacus, the gladiator who led a slave rebellion, symbolizing workers' solidarity. The Soviet Union boycotted the Olympics until 1952, claiming the Games were bourgeois. 'Olympiakos' is a Greek sports club, 'Spartacus' relates to the historical figure, and 'Sovietiaskos' is not a real term.

The Olympic Torch Relay was first introduced at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Though often associated with ancient Greek tradition, the relay was actually a modern innovation created for propaganda purposes by the Nazi regime to link ancient Greece with modern Germany.

Pierre de Coubertin, known as Baron de Coubertin, founded the International Olympic Committee in 1894 and revived the modern Olympic Games. The 1896 games were awarded to Athens, Greece, at this founding congress.

The Olympic flag displays five interlaced rings in blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white background. These rings represent the union of the five inhabited continents and the meeting of athletes from around the world at the Olympic Games.

Seoul did host the 1988 Summer Olympics, which was a significant event in sports history. This marked the first time the Olympics were held in South Korea and showcased the country to the world.

The Fuwa were the official mascots of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. They were five doll-like characters representing different aspects of Chinese culture and natural elements. The name Fuwa literally means 'good luck dolls' in Chinese.

London hosted the 2012 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad. This was the third time London hosted the Olympics after 1908 and 1948.

Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter widely regarded as the greatest sprinter of all time. He holds world records in the 100m and 200m and has won multiple Olympic gold medals representing Jamaica.

The Soviet Union (USSR) won the most medals at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics with 98 total medals including 37 gold medals. The USA finished second with 74 medals, and Australia (the host) came third with 35 medals. This was during the Cold War era when USSR dominated Olympic medal counts.
