Biology and Science Terminology

Ethology is the specific branch of zoology dedicated to the study of animal behavior, particularly in natural environments. Ecology studies organism-environment relationships, sociology is about human social behavior, and ichthyology is the study of fish.

Genetics is the branch of biology that studies heredity - the transmission of traits from parents to offspring through genes.
