Tamil Nadu is situated at the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula, placing it in the south-eastern part of the country.

Since the reorganizing of the states based on languages was done at national level perspective, many Kannadigas living on the borders had to suffer injustice. Though they were majority in numbers, they had to become a minority as they were integrated with other language region. Kasaragodu of Kerala,Alur, Adavani, Madakashira and Rayadurga taluks of Andhra Pradesh; Hosur and Talavadi of Tamil Nadu; Chandagadh, Sollapur, Jatha and Akkalakote of Maharastra though had Kannda speaking majority, had to remain out of Karnataka. 

The Southern Bird Wing is the state butterfly of Karnataka. It is the largest butterfly in India. Troides Minos is its scientific name. Karnataka is the second state in India to choose state butterfly after Maharashtra. 

Kollegal in Chamarajanagara district of Karnataka is one of the largest taluks in the state of Karnataka in South India. It is also known as the "Silk City" and renowned for its silk saree industry.

Kodagu is a hill station with valleys, forests, waterfalls, woods, wildlife, history and trekking trails. It is also known as Coorg. Climatic characteristics of Coorg remain pleasant throughout the year, specially in summer. Some upper hilly region it may be below 0C in winter. Thus, it is also called the Kashmir of Karnataka.

• Mango showers are the rains that include light showers to heavy rains with thunders. These are due to the thunderstorm developed in the Bay of Bengal. These result in falling apart of mangoes from trees.
  
• Mango showers are common especially, in Kerala, Karnataka coasts.
  

Firdausi order was the branch of Suharawardi order. Shaikh Badruddin Samarkandi was the founder of this order. This order was popular in Bihar. It was popularised by Shaikh Sharfuddin Yahya.

Suharawardi Order of Sufism was founded by Sheikh Bahuddin Zakariya. This order was famous in Punjab and Sindh. Other popular saints of this order were Shaikh Shihabuddin Suharwardi and Hamiduddin Nagory.

The Bhal region is situated on the deltas of the Sabarmati, Bhogawo, Bhada, Lilka and other rivers that flow east and southeast off the Kathiawar peninsula into the Gulf of Cambay. Bhalia Wheat is a major farm cultivation in the region.

Wheat is produced in the black and loamy soil which holds moisture. For the better production of wheat moderate temperature, rainfall and sufficient sunlight is required at the time of harvest. Wheat production is more in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat. Bhal region of Ahmedabad (Dhandhuka Taluka) is well known for the production of Bhalia wheat. Bhalia, a long grain wheat variety rich in protein is grown under conserved soil moisture conditions in Bhal region of Gujarat.

Edakkal cave is situated at Ambukuthi Hills in Sulthan Bathery is in Wayanad district, Kerala. The rock engravings of Edakkal cave is 3000 to 6000 years old. It is the only known place for stone age carvings in South India. The contain drawings range over periods from the Neolithic as early as 5,000 BC to 1,000 BCE.

Most of the Marble rocks are located in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Jog Falls is located in the Shivamogga district of the state of Karnataka, India.

Gujarat is spread over an area of 196,024 sq km (6 per cent of India’s land area). It is located on the Western coast of India and has the longest coastline of 1,600 km in the country.
