Barkatullah University is located in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. It was originally established as the University of Bhopal in 1970 and renamed in 1988 after the freedom fighter Barkatullah.

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is located in Bangalore (now Bengaluru). Established in 1988, it was India's first premier national law school and remains one of the most prestigious law institutions in the country.

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a premier medical college in Pune, Maharashtra. Established in 1945, it trains medical doctors for the armed forces and is widely regarded as one of India's top medical institutions.

The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) was located in Hyderabad, not New Delhi, Chandigarh, or Shimla. It has since been upgraded to the English and Foreign Languages University (EFL University). Hyderabad remains a major center for language education and research in India.

The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) is located in Mysore (now Mysuru), Karnataka. It is an important research and training institute for Indian languages under the Ministry of Education. It is not located in Mumbai, New Delhi, or Lucknow.

India's first Network Access Point (NAP) or Internet exchange, the Net Route Server, was established in Chennai. Chennai emerged as a key internet hub in southern India with early infrastructure investments. Mumbai, Noida, and Hyderabad developed data centers but were not the first.

Pune became the first Indian city to have a high-speed wireless internet network when Airtel launched its 4G services there in 2012. The city was chosen as the initial launch location for next-generation mobile broadband services in India. Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram were early adopters but not the very first.

ICRISAT (International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics) is headquartered in Hyderabad, India. It conducts research on agricultural systems in the dry tropical regions of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Gandhiji was born in Porbandar, a coastal city in present-day Gujarat state. His father, Karamchand Gandhi, was the diwan (chief minister) of Porbandar state at the time of his birth.

Most Indian emigrants in South Africa settled in the Natal province, particularly around Durban. Natal had the largest population of Indian immigrants who were brought there as indentured laborers to work on sugar plantations in the 19th century.

Gandhi undertook his last fast for communal harmony in Delhi from January 13-18, 1948. This fast was aimed at stopping the Hindu-Muslim riots that had erupted following India's partition. He called off the fast when leaders of both communities pledged to maintain peace.

Eden Gardens is a world-famous cricket stadium located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Established in 1864, it is one of the oldest and most iconic cricket grounds in India.

The 93rd session of the Indian Science Congress was held in Hyderabad in January 2006. It was hosted by the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University.
