Infosys has its headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was one of India's first major IT companies and helped establish Bangalore as India's IT capital.

Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd. (HFC) has its headquarters in New Delhi. While its plants were located in different states (like Haldia, Barauni, etc.), the corporate office was in Delhi.

Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. (HSL) is located in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of India's major shipbuilding facilities and was the first shipyard in India to build ships.

The Indian Institute of Sugar Technology (now known as National Sugar Institute) was established in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It is a premier institution dedicated to research and training in sugar technology.

Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited (HPC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has its registered office in New Delhi. The company was established to promote the paper industry in India.

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Mines, is headquartered in Kolkata. It is the only vertically integrated copper producer in India.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a government-owned aerospace and defense company, has its headquarters in Bangalore. Bangalore is known as India's aerospace and technology hub.

The Anna Centenary Library is a state-sponsored public library located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is one of the largest libraries in Asia and was established in 2010 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of C.N. Annadurai.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), India's largest private sector company by market capitalization, is headquartered in Mumbai. Mumbai is India's financial and business capital.

The ninth trilateral meeting of Russia, India and China (RIC) was held in Bangalore in 2009. This was part of the regular foreign minister-level meetings between these three major developing nations to discuss cooperation on regional and global issues.

The 19th Commonwealth Games were held in Delhi, India in 2010. This was the first time India hosted the Commonwealth Games. The games were originally scheduled to be held in Delhi but faced various organizational challenges. Bangalore, Jaipur, and Chennai were not the host cities.
