Indian Cities and Places

Jamia Millia Islamia is a central university located in New Delhi. It was established in 1920 and became a central university in 1988. The other cities are locations of other major universities (Pune - Symbiosis/FTII, Aligarh - AMU, Varanasi - BHU).

Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM) is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was established in 1959 and is one of the first science museums in India under the National Council of Science Museums. The Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) is indeed located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) headquarters is in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is India's premier space agency responsible for space programs and satellite launches.

Jute Corporation of India (JCI) is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. As jute is primarily grown in the Bengal region, the corporation's headquarters is naturally situated there.
