Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha (formerly Orissa) and is known for its ancient temples. Cuttack was the former capital and remains a major commercial city. Gandhinagar is Gujarat's capital. Bhopa appears to be a typo for Bhopal, which is Madhya Pradesh's capital.

Lucknow has been the capital of Uttar Pradesh since the state's formation. It is known for its Nawabi era architecture and cuisine. Imphal is Manipur's capital. Gandhinagar is Gujarat's capital. Patna is Bihar's capital.

Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) is the capital of Kerala. Coimbatore is a major city in Tamil Nadu, Panaji is the capital of Goa, and KR Puram is an area in Bangalore (Karnataka).

Chennai is the capital of Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore and Hosur are cities in Tamil Nadu but not the capital, while Mysore is a major city in Karnataka.

Bangalore (Bengaluru) is the capital of Karnataka state and is known as India's silicon valley due to its IT industry. Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana, Warangal is a city in Telangana, and Tiruvananthapuram is the capital of Kerala.

Pune houses the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) headquarters, which is the largest and most important meteorological facility in the country. The IMD is responsible for weather forecasting and seismic monitoring across India.

After the partition of India in 1947, Karachi port went to Pakistan, and Kandla port in Gujarat was developed to handle the trade that previously used Karachi. Kandla was specifically built as a major port to serve the hinterland of north and northwest India.

The Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) is one of the longest and oldest roads in South Asia, connecting various parts of India. It historically ran from Bengal to Punjab and continues to be a major highway artery. The other options are either shorter roads or not as significant in terms of length and historical importance.

Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh is famous for its glass bangle industry and is known as the bangle city of India. The city has numerous small-scale units manufacturing glass bangles that are supplied across the country. Sirampur and Naini are not known for this industry.

Dum Dum Airport (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport) is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was originally called Dum Dum Airport due to its location in the Dum Dum area of Kolkata. It is one of the busiest airports in eastern India.
