Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and India's financial capital. Delhi is the capital of India, Pune is a major city in Maharashtra, and Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. Mumbai was formerly known as Bombay.

Hyderabad is historically known as the 'City of Pearls' due to its once-thriving pearl trade and jewelry industry. The city was a major center for pearl trading and craftsmanship in India.

Gandhinagar (misspelled in options) is the capital of Gujarat state. Ahmedabad is a major city but not the capital, while Bareilly and Pune are in other states (Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra respectively).

Santiniketan, founded by Debendranath Tagore and later developed by Rabindranath Tagore, is located in Bolpur town of Birbhum district. It became famous as Visva-Bharati University, a center of art, culture, and learning.
