The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Pakistan was originally scheduled to co-host but was stripped of hosting rights following security concerns after the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore. India won the tournament.
