PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) is a continuous improvement cycle. Plan: set objectives, Do: implement, Check: measure results, Act: adjust based on learning. 'Correct' and 'Accept' are not standard terms - the cycle uses 'Check' for verification.
PDCA stands for Plan, Do, Check, Act — the classic continuous-improvement cycle (also called the Deming or Shewhart cycle). Plan: identify a goal/process and define the change needed. Do: implement the change on a small/test scale. Check: measure and analyze results against expected outcomes. Act: standardize the change if successful, or adjust and repeat the cycle if not. The distractors substitute plausible-sounding but incorrect words: 'Correct' and 'Debug' aren't part of the standard cycle terminology, and 'Accept' misrepresents the 'Act' step, which is about acting on findings (standardizing or adjusting), not merely accepting results. PDCA is foundational in quality management (ISO, Six Sigma, Agile retrospectives) and the Plan-Do-Check-Act naming is universally standardized.
