The only two types of solar eclipse are Solar and Lunar eclipse. 

A lunar eclipse can occur only on a full moon light.

Earth cast a shadow on the Moon in a lunar eclipse. Earth's shadow are of 2 types: umbra and penumbra. The darkest or the total shadow is the umbra while the partial shadow is the penumbra. Penumbral eclipse happens when Moon passes through the penumbra.

Solar eclipse are of three types:

Hybrid eclipse are very rare and comes once in 159 years. A shift betwwe the total and annular eclipse takes place in hybrid eclipse.

Solar eclipse always occurs on a new moon day.

Lunar eclipse always occur on a full moon day.

Lunar eclipse occurs on full moon and solar on new moon day.

When a body moves constantly from one position to the other and back to the initial position, then this motion of the body is called vibration.

Vibration is a rapid to and fro motion of the object.
