The Economic Times, India's leading financial daily, was launched in 1961 by the Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL). This makes option B (1961) correct.

Durba Banerjee was the first woman pilot in Indian aviation history, flying for Indian Airlines in 1966. She broke gender barriers in the male-dominated aviation industry and paved the way for future generations of women pilots in India.

P T Usha became the first Indian woman to reach an Olympic final when she won her 400m hurdles semifinal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She narrowly missed the bronze medal by 1/100th of a second. This achievement made her a sporting icon in India.

Kalpana Chawla was the first Indian-born woman to fly in space (Space Shuttle Columbia mission STS-87 in 1997). She was born in Karnal, Haryana, and later became a US citizen. She tragically died in the Columbia disaster in 2003. Indra Nooyi is a business executive, not an astronaut.
