Sikkim is known for tea and orchids, Tamil Nadu for textiles and temples, and Orissa for silver filigree and temples.

Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Karnataka, known for its biodiversity and bird species. Gir Sanctuary is in Gujarat (famous for Asiatic lions), Kaziranga is in Assam (famous for one-horned rhinos), and Tadoba National Park is in Maharashtra (famous for tigers).

Berar district (part of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra) is famous for cotton cultivation. The region has black soil ideal for cotton and is a major cotton-growing area. Maharashtra is India's largest cotton-producing state, and Berar contributes significantly to this.

Chittorgarh Fort is located in Rajasthan and is the largest fort in India. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbolizes Rajput valor and sacrifice. The fort is famous for the Jauhar (self-immolation) performed by Rajput women rather than surrendering to invaders.

Manikaran is a pilgrimage site in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, located in the Parvati Valley. It's sacred to both Hindus and Sikhs, featuring hot springs and a gurdwara. Uttaranchal has Haridwar and Rishikesh, Punjab has the Golden Temple, and Jammu & Kashmir has Vaishno Devi and Amarnath.
