Settlements are places where individuals assemble their homes. The early man lived in trees and surrenders. Types of settlement include:

Functional zones are that areas that are designated for only one kind of activity. For Example industrial zones, residential zones, inner city zones, suburbs, rural-urban fringe, and Central Business Districts. It has been criticized for causing the squandering of land, energy and time.

Dispersed settlement are those settlement where the houses are spread over a wide area. They are often the homes of farmers and can be found in rural areas. The settlement doesn't follow any pattern. 

Industrialization involves both the adoption of superior production techniques and the implementation of modern organizational and technological methods to increase efficiency.

Sickness in industrial units is typically caused by internal factors like poor management, obsolete technology, or external factors like labor disputes and raw material shortages. Capital account convertibility is a macroeconomic policy, not a direct cause of individual unit sickness.

The industrial sector is the largest consumer of commercial energy globally due to the high energy requirements of manufacturing, processing, and heavy machinery.

Following the liberalization policies in India, most industries were delicensed. However, hazardous chemicals, tobacco products, and aerospace/defense industries often remain under licensing requirements for safety or regulatory reasons. Clothes (textiles) do not require an industrial license.

Cost push inflation is inflation caused by an increase in prices of inputs like labour, raw material, etc. The increased price of the factors of production leads to a decreased supply of these goods .Demand-pull inflation is the  most  common cause of rising prices. It occurs when consumer demand for goods and services increases so much that it outstrips supply. Producers can't make enough to meet demand. They may not have time to build the manufacturing needed to boost supply.
