Cytoplasm is a jelly liquid surrounded by cell membrane that consists of various cell organelles. It is the site of many biochemical reactions that are vital and crucial for maintaining life. However replication of DNA takes place in nucleus which is present in cytoplasm. Hence cytoplasm is not the site of DNA replication.

The cytosol is the portion of the cytoplasm and made up of cytoskeleton filaments, some dissolved molecules and water. The cytosol's filament is the protein filaments such as actin filaments and microtubules that make up the cytoskeleton, as well as soluble proteins and small structures such as ribosomes, proteasomes. Thus, the correct answer is option D.
