World Geography and Capitals

Dhaka is the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is located in central Bangladesh on the Buriganga River.

Beijing has been the capital of China since the Ming Dynasty (1421 onwards, with some interruptions). It is the political and cultural center of the country.

Dushanbe is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan, located in the Hissar Valley. The name means 'Monday' in Tajik, referring to its origins as a Monday market village. It became the capital when Tajikistan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.

Doha is the capital and largest city of Qatar, located on the Persian Gulf coast. It is Qatar's economic center, housing most of the country's population and serving as the headquarters for many international organizations. Doha has developed rapidly due to Qatar's oil and natural gas revenues.

Baghdad is the capital and largest city of Iraq, situated on the Tigris River. Founded in the 8th century, it became the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate and a major center of Islamic civilization. Despite conflicts in recent decades, Baghdad remains Iraq's political and cultural center.

Bishkek is the capital and largest city of Kyrgyzstan, located in the Chuy Valley near the Kyrgyz Ala-Too mountains. Formerly known as Pishpek and Frunze during Soviet times, it became Bishkek when Kyrgyzstan gained independence in 1991. The city is the country's political and economic center.

Hanoi has been the capital of Vietnam since 1975 and remains its political and cultural center. Sanaa is the capital of Yemen, Vientiane is the capital of Laos, and Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia - all are incorrect options.

Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, situated on the western shore of the Caspian Sea. It has been an important oil city since the 19th century. The other options (Zaku, Daku, Taku) appear to be fictional distractors with no relation to actual world capitals.

Jakarta is Indonesia's capital and largest city, located on the northwest coast of the island of Java. It has been Indonesia's capital since independence in 1945. Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan, while Java and Sumatra are islands in Indonesia, not cities.

Male is the capital and most populous city of Maldives, located on Male Atoll in the Indian Ocean. It is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia and Taipei is the capital of Taiwan.

Singapore is a city-state where the capital city and the country are one and the same - Singapore. This makes it unique among the options. Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur are the country and its capital respectively, while Manama is the capital of Bahrain.

Ashgabat (also spelled Ashgabat) is the capital and largest city of Turkmenistan, known for its white marble buildings. Ankara is the capital of Turkey, Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan, and Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan (note: option says Bishtek which is a misspelling).

Copenhagen is the capital and largest city of Denmark, located on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand. Lolland and Bornholm are Danish islands, while 'Dennkyard' is not a real place in Denmark. Copenhagen has been Denmark's capital for centuries.

Among these cities, Oslo is the odd one out because it is the capital of Norway, while Aarhus, Odense, and Aalborg are all cities in Denmark.
