Cauvery water dispute has arisen between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The water stored in Krishanasagar dam in Karnataka is used for irrigation and for meeting the needs of the people of Bangalore. The water stored in Meetur dam in Tamil Nadu is used for crops grown in the delta region of Tamil Nadu.

Rajasthan is the state in which first Panchayat Raj Institute was established in Independent India. Panchayat Raj system or local self-governing institutions were inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 2 October 1959 at Nagaur in Rajasthan.

The Government of India has historically appointed interlocutors to hold talks with various groups in Jammu and Kashmir to address political grievances and seek a resolution to the conflict.

Before the Constitution 70th amendment Act, 1992, Article 54 relating to the election of the President provided for an electoral college consisting only of the elected members of Parliament as well as the legislative assemblies of the States (not of Union Territories). The amendment provide for inclusion of members of legislature of Pondicherry and Delhi in representing these Union Territories in Rajya Sabha.

In the 1937 elections, the Indian National Congress emerged in power in eight of the provinces - the three exceptions being Bengal, Punjab, and Sindh. It formed MInistries in 8 out of the 11 provinces. IN Assam it had won 33 out of 108 seats and though it was the single largest party it was not in a position to form a Ministry. 

Raghubar Das served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019.

Tribal people of Bhils  are found in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Tripura. They speak Bhil language. It is the largest tribal group of India.

Employment Guarantee Scheme was first introduced in Maharasthra in $1972-73$. The scheme was the first of its kind to give recognition to the 'right to work' enshrined in the constitution. It emboided a commitment by the state to provide work to a person who comes forward to offer labour.

India has a highly uneven pattern of population distribution. Uttar Pradesh has the highest population followed by Maharashtra, Bihar and West Bengal.

More than two-third of the ST population is concentrated only in the seven States of the country, viz. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. There is no ST population in 3 States (Delhi NCR, Punjab and Haryana) and 2 UTs (Puducherry and Chandigarh), as no Scheduled Tribe is notified.

Tungabhadra project is the joint project of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka governments located in Bellari district. The dam is built across the Tungabhadra river which is a tributary of Krishna. It is one of the biggest multipurpose projects in India.

'Basmati' rice is a type of flavoured rice which is mostly grown in the traditional areas of north and northwestern part of Indian sub-continent for many centuries. The best quality of basmati rice is produced on either side of Indus valley in India. Some important districts of Uttar Pradesh are Saharanpur, Muzaffar Nagar, Piliphi etc. Also, basmati rice is grown to a limited extent in Jammu and Kashmir. The largest area under basmati rice is in the State of Haryana (60%) followed by Uttar Pradesh (17.1%) and Punjab (16.1%). Thus, option D is correct.

The Indian Naval Academy is the initial officer training establishment of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard. It is located in Ezhimala, Kannur district, Kerela. INA conducts basic training for all officers inducted into the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. It is the largest naval academy in Asia.

E-Shakti Project-Bihar NREGA: E-Shakti project in Bihar through its biometric attendance and wage disbursement at worksite has empowered the NREGA workers. To resolve the challenges, project E-Shakti was conceived by the State Chief Minister. The goal of the project was to ensure correct and timely wage payment to right beneficiary.
For MNREGA workers, the cards have become their identity proof providing them access to bank accounts that earlier was unimaginable. The account can be used like any bank account with the account holder withdrawing or depositing money anytime he wants. Earlier workers had no means to save money even if they wanted. The project has ensured timely payment of wages. The E-Shakti project makes the physical presence at the bank unnecessary. The project has also ushered in transparency and accountability. Corruption at the lower level has been one of other major obstacles in the effective implementation of this unprecedented employment guarantee scheme. Under E-Shakti, diversion of funds becomes almost impossible. With biometrics-aided attendance, only a worker can withdraw money-nobody on his behalf can do so.

Andhra Pradesh relies more on tank and well irrigation due to its topography and water availability compared to the extensive canal networks found in states like Punjab and Haryana.
