The Southern Maidan region of Karnataka, which includes districts like Tumakuru, Kolar, and Bengaluru, is the primary area for Ragi cultivation.

Mandya district is historically famous for its sugarcane cultivation. The establishment of sugar factories in the region dates back to the pre-independence era.

• Kodagu is well-known for coffee cultivation in Karnataka.

India has the world's largest area under tea and it produces 28.3 percent of the world's production. At present, India is the fourth largest producer of tea after Kenya, China and Sri Lanka.  Assam is the largest producer of tea contributing 53.2% of the total area and 51% of the tea produced in India. 

Costing around Rs. 1 lakh per kg. Mokaibari Tea has become one of the most expensive tea. It is grown by Makaibari Tea Estate in Darjeeling.

Calcutta was British EIC's first capital. Gradually, the profit of the East India Company increased notably. They obtained permission (Dastakath) to trade without any tax in the Bengal Province (the present Bengal, Bihar and Odisha) and in Agra from the Mughal Emperor Farroq Siyara.

Vaikom is a town situated in the Kottayam district in the state of Kerala, India. It is known for Vaikom satyagraha during the independence movement. Vaikom satyagraha was a civil rights movement against the practice of untouchability in the Indian society and aimed at securing freedom of movement for all sections of society.

Utkal Divas is celebrated on April 1 every year to commemorate the formation of the state of Odisha as a separate province in 1936.

The Khajuraho Group of Monuments, famous for their intricate nagara-style architectural symbolism and erotic sculptures, are located in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

In the nineteenth century, the region that constitutes most of present-day Rajasthan was called as Rajputana by the British. While this may suggest that this was an area that was inhabited only or mainly by Rajputs.

Pandharpur is the centre of a bhakti movement that began over eight centuries ago, and gave birth to Marathi literature. For centuries, every year, just before the rains, thousands of pilgrims known as Varkari, followers of Haripath (path of God who is Krishna-Vishnu) travel long distances from rural Maharashtra and Karnataka to Pandharpur.

Rajasthan is the leading producer of silver in India, primarily from the Zawar mines in the Udaipur district.

The Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, is located primarily in the state of Rajasthan.
