Sevagram was indeed originally called Segaon. Mahatma Gandhi renamed it Sevagram (meaning 'village of service') when he established his ashram there in 1936. The name change reflected his vision of the village as a center for social service and India's independence movement.

The Lingaraja Temple, dedicated to Shiva, is in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, built in the 11th century. Khajuraho is in Madhya Pradesh. Madurai has the Meenakshi Temple. Mount Abu has Dilwara Jain temples.

According to accounts about Shirdi Sai Baba's life, villagers first encountered him in the jungle near Shirdi when he appeared under a neem tree, before he moved to Dwarkamai (the mosque he lived in). However, these accounts are from hagiographies and devotional literature rather than verifiable historical records.

Dwarkamai was the mosque that Sai Baba made his home in Shirdi, and it is where he regularly distributed udhi (vibhuti/holy ash) to devotees who came to see him. It remains one of the most important sites in Shirdi pilgrimage.

The Taj Mahal was voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007 through a global poll. It is the only Indian monument in this prestigious list, recognized for its architectural beauty and historical significance.

The Mughal Gardens referenced here are the famous gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, designed by Edwin Lutyens. These gardens are open to the public annually during spring (February-March) and feature over 150 varieties of roses and flowers.

In Shirdi, there is a sacred neem tree (Neem Tree) at Gurusthan which is believed to have sweet leaves, contrary to the naturally bitter taste of neem leaves. This is considered a miraculous sign associated with Sai Baba's divine presence in Shirdi.

Benaras, one of India's oldest continuously inhabited cities, was officially renamed Varanasi. The name Varanasi derives from the Varuna and Assi rivers that border the city, and it's also known as Kashi.

The Shirdi Sai Baba Museum houses idols of Rama, Hanuman, and Krishna among other deities, but Ganesha's idol is notably not present in the main collection.

The stone on which Sai Baba used to sit is preserved in Dwarkamai, the mosque where Baba lived and which is now part of the temple complex. This is considered the most sacred site.

Aadipuri (primordial city) is Thiruvotriyur, home to the 2000-year old Aadhipureeswarar Temple dedicated to Shiva. 'Aadipurishwara' means 'primordial lord'. Distractors: Thiruvanmiyur and Thiruporur have different temples; Thiruvallikeni (Triplicane) is Vaishnavite, not Shaivite.

Maashapuri (town of lentils) is Ulundurpet near Villupuram. 'Ulundur' comes from 'ulundu' (urad dal). This is etymologically plausible. Distractors: Nanganallur is a Chennai suburb; Arisipalayam and Sriperampudur are different towns near Chennai, though Sriperampudur is more historically significant.
