Chandigarh is the capital of Punjab and also serves as the capital of Haryana. It's a Union Territory and a planned city designed by Le Corbusier. Meerath (misspelled as merath) is in UP, Cuttack in Odisha, and Mohali is a city in Punjab adjacent to Chandigarh.

Bhubaneswar is the capital of Odisha (formerly Orissa), known as the Temple City of India. Cuttack is a major city in Odisha but not the capital. Kohima is Nagaland's capital and Guwahati is Assam's largest city.
