Indian Flora and Fauna

Fauna is the animal life of a particular region or habitat. All of the above are animals and hence, fauna.

Valavadar National Park is located in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat state. It is also known as Blackbuck National Park and is famous for its conservation of the blackbuck antelope species.

Sarguja district is rich in biodiversity and hosts the highest number of wildlife sanctuaries in Chhattisgarh, including Semarsot, Tamor Pingla, and other protected areas.

Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. It was established in 1975 and covers approximately 285 square kilometers. The sanctuary is known for its diverse wildlife including tigers, leopards, and various species of deer and birds.

Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary in Surguja district is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Chhattisgarh by area, covering approximately 608 square kilometers. It was established in 1978 and is known for its diverse flora and fauna including tigers, leopards, and various bird species.

Jim Corbett National Park, established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, is India's first and oldest national park. Located in Uttarakhand, it was named after hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett and is famous for its Bengal tiger population.

The first Bio-Reserve Park of Asia is located in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. This refers to the Kanger Valley National Park area which was established as a bioreserve to conserve the unique biodiversity of the region. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna including the endangered Bastar Hill Myna.

Indravati National Park is located in Dantewara district of Chhattisgarh. It is one of the most important tiger reserves in the state. The other options are districts in Madhya Pradesh or other parts of Chhattisgarh.

Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is also known as 'Top Slip'. It is a part of the Western Ghats and is located 300 metres above the sea level on the Anamalai mountain ranges.
