Operation Shakti was the code name for India's second series of nuclear tests conducted in May 1998 at Pokhran. The tests demonstrated India's nuclear weapon capabilities. Operation Mukti, Aagni, and Vayu (option D has typo 'opearion') are not associated with India's nuclear program.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) was founded on October 8, 1932, as the Royal Indian Air Force under British colonial rule. After India gained independence in 1947, the prefix 'Royal' was dropped, and it became the Indian Air Force. This date is celebrated annually as IAF Foundation Day.

IAF stands for Indian Air Force, but Israel's air force is also acronymed as IAF (Israel Air Force or Heyl Ha'Avir). Other countries like Iceland, Iraq, and Italy have different air force acronyms - Iceland Air Defense Force, Iraqi Air Force, and Aeronautica Militare (Italian Air Force) respectively.

During the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the Indian Navy's INS Vikrant operated Sea Hawks (a type of Hawker Sea Hawk aircraft) which successfully conducted bombing raids on East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). The other options are incorrect: Marut was an Indian Air Force fighter, Harriers were V/STOL aircraft used by other navies, and MiG-29K was inducted much later.

The Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mark 2 will be powered by the General Electric GE-F414 engine, which is more powerful than the GE-F404 used in the current Mark 1 variant. The Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is named 'Dhruv'. It's a multi-role utility helicopter designed for both military and civilian operations. Dhruv has been successfully exported to several countries and is known for its versatile performance in various roles including reconnaissance, transport, and medical evacuation.

The Indo-Russian joint project to develop a fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft for India is called PAK-FA (Perspektivny Aviatsionny Kompleks Frontovoy Aviatsii - Prospective Aviation Complex of Frontal Aviation). India partnered with Russia to co-develop this aircraft based on the Sukhoi T-50 prototype, with the intention of inducting it into the Indian Air Force as FGFA (Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft).

The Indian Air Force's aerobatic demonstration team is called 'Sarang', which means 'peacock' in Sanskrit. The team performs breathtaking aerial displays using modified HAL Dhruv helicopters. Sarang has represented India at numerous international airshows and showcases the maneuverability of the indigenous Advanced Light Helicopter. (Note: Surya Kiran was the earlier fixed-wing aerobatic team using Kiran aircraft, but that squadron was numbered 52 and later converted to a combat squadron).

Captain Saurabh Kalia and five other soldiers of the 4th Jat Regiment were the first Indian casualties captured and killed by Pakistani forces during the Kargil War in May 1999. Their bodies were returned mutilated, which caused significant outrage in India and became a major flashpoint during the conflict. This incident is distinct from the other options - Mangal Pandey was a 1857 independence fighter, Manoj Tiwary is a cricketer, and 'Cpt Joe' appears to be fictional.

INS Vikramaditya is the Indian name of the former Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier, which India purchased from Russia and commissioned in 2013. INS Vikrant was India's first aircraft carrier (now decommissioned), and INS Viraat was the second (also decommissioned).

India's first nuclear test conducted on 18 May 1974 at Pokhran was code-named 'The Smiling Buddha.' It was supervised by Raja Ramanna and made India the sixth nation to conduct a nuclear test. INS Kalpeni was the Fast Attack Craft inducted by the Indian Navy on October 14, 2010, at Kochi's Southern Naval Command. These ships are designed for rapid coastal defense and patrol operations. INS Tarang and INS Viraat are different vessels - Viraat was an aircraft carrier. INS Kalpeni is named after an island in Lakshadweep.
