Port Blair is the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which is a Union Territory, not a state. Imphal (Manipur), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), and Panaji (Goa) are all state capitals. The odd one out could be Port Blair because it's a UT capital, or because it's located on an island archipelago while the others are on mainland India.

The first World Classical Tamil Conference was held in Coimbatore in June 2010, organized by the Tamil Nadu government under Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. This event showcased Tamil's classical language status through academic and cultural programs. While Chennai is the capital, Coimbatore was chosen as the host city.

The ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), now known as U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), is located in Bengaluru (misspelled as 'Banglore' in the option). Bengaluru has been ISRO's primary satellite development center since the 1970s. The city houses the lead facility for designing, developing, and building all of India's satellites, not Mumbai, Chennai, or Hyderabad.

Visvesvaraya Technological and Industrial Museum is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is named after Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the renowned Indian engineer and statesman. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and New Delhi are incorrect locations.

Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden situated on the eastern side of Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. Built in 1633 by Asif Khan, it's the second largest Mughal garden in Kashmir Valley and known for its terraced layout and views.

Victoria Memorial is a grand marble building in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), built between 1906-1921 to commemorate Queen Victoria. It's now a major museum and tourist attraction, showcasing colonial-era artifacts and serving as an iconic landmark of the city.

Ranchi has been the capital of Jharkhand since the state was carved out of Bihar in November 2000. It was chosen as the capital due to its central location, existing infrastructure, and historical significance as a major city in the region.

Patna, historically known as Pataliputra, has been the capital of Bihar for centuries. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and served as the capital of the ancient Magadha empire and the Mauryan dynasty.

Chennai, formerly known as Madras, is the capital of Tamil Nadu and serves as a major cultural, economic, and educational center in South India. It was the first major British settlement in India and remains an important port city.

Hyderabad was the capital of united Andhra Pradesh until the state's bifurcation in 2014. After the split, it serves as the joint capital of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for a 10-year period, with Amaravati being developed as Andhra's new capital city.

Shillong has been the capital of Meghalaya since the state was formed in 1972. Before Meghalaya became a separate state, Shillong served as the capital of undivided Assam, earning it the nickname 'Scotland of the East' for its scenic beauty.

The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) is located in Izatnagar, Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1885, it is India's oldest and premier veterinary research institute. Nagpur houses the Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes.

The Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) is based in Hyderabad, Telangana. It specializes in agricultural research for dryland and rainfed farming systems. Chennai, Kolkata, and Guwahati host other ICAR institutes.

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It is ISRO's primary facility for satellite and launch vehicle development, named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.

National Insurance Company Limited (NIC) is a state-owned general insurance company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. It's one of the oldest insurance companies in India, founded in 1906 and nationalized in 1972. NIC operates throughout India with regional offices across major cities.
