My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), India's first 3D film, was directed by Jijo Punnoose. It was a Malayalam children's fantasy film produced by Navodaya Studio. The film was later re-released as Chhota Chetan in Hindi. Appachan was the producer, not director.

This is factual film trivia. 'Ajay' (2008, Puneeth Rajkumar) is the Kannada remake of 'Ghilli' (2004, Vijay), which itself is a remake of Telugu film 'Okkadu' (2003).
