Harry and Ron discovered the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. They found that a snake was engraved on one of the faucets, which opened the chamber when spoken to in Parseltongue. Myrtle's bathroom was where she died when the Chamber was first opened 50 years earlier.

Dudley Dursley is indeed Harry Potter's cousin. Dudley is the son of Vernon and Petunia Dursley, making him Harry's first cousin since Petunia is Harry's maternal aunt. Dudley was a spoiled, bullying child who tormented Harry throughout their childhood.

Neville Longbottom was the other possible candidate for the prophecy about 'the chosen one' who would defeat Voldemort. In 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', during the Godric's Hollow visit, Hermione pays the chicken-egg seller money after freeing the enchanted eggs from the hen house (to compensate for the theft). She does not leave her wand, the locket, or a pineapple (which is illogical in context).

Though it was actually Barty Crouch Jr. disguised as Mad-Eye Moody using Polyjuice Potion throughout the year, the officially listed Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher for Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts was Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody.

Hedwig is Harry Potter's loyal snow-white owl, a birthday gift from Hagrid when Harry turned eleven. She serves as Harry's companion and mail carrier throughout the series until her tragic death in Deathly Hallows.
