Vocabulary and Synonyms

Gladden means to make someone glad or pleased, which is the exact meaning of 'please' when used as a verb (to give pleasure or satisfaction to someone).

Expansion refers to the action of becoming larger or more extensive, which is synonymous with extension in many contexts (e.g., extension of a building, extension of time).
