Tamil Nadu contains both Guindy (a locality in Chennai with Guindy National Park) and the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary (formerly Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary). These are protected areas within Tamil Nadu. Barren Island is in Andaman and Nicobar, while Periyar is primarily in Kerala.
