K. Kamaraj became the Chief Minister of Madras State in March 1962, serving until 1963. He was known for the Kamaraj Plan and was a key Congress leader. Rajagopalachari was the last Governor-General of India, Bakthavatsalam succeeded Kamaraj as CM, and Annadurai founded the DMK.
