Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is called sustainable development. About 17 sustainable developmental goals have been published by United Nations. These goals are to be achieved by 2030.

Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is called sustainable development. Sustainable development is the process of utilising natural resources for human development without completely depleting them but by sustaining the ability of nature to continue to provide its resources. In order to achieve this, one must focus on utilizing renewable sources of energy which can be utilised again and again.

 International Trade refers to the exchange of products and services from one country to another. Differences in cost form the basis of trade. Differences in cost may be two types: (i) absolute cost difference, and (ii) comparative cost difference. In 1776, Adam Smith argued that absolute cost difference or absolute advantage is the basis of trade.

• Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Though elimination of poverty is one of the goals, it does not talk about eliminating 80% of poverty.
